You, Me, and Us is a Roots Punk Band inspired by the bands heros of the aggressive punk of the eighties and nineties. The trio first formed when bass player, Pat Rock responded to guitar player, Tyler Fighting's Classified ad about starting a band. After a few brief conversations both Rock and Fighting realized that they shared many musicial influences and heros.
Rock, an Upstate New York native, living in West Palm Beach, Florida at the time was in the process of moving to Columbia, South Carolina where Fighting was. Once he got to Columbia the two immediately got together to start playing music. The two would both play guitar origionally and trade riffs for good parts of the sessions until Rock and Fighting both agreed that Pat would play the bass guitar allowing Fighting to come with distortion at warp speed by himself.
The duo had written 4 songs but still did not have a drummer. That was until a chance conversation between neighbors would change the course of the Columbia music scene. Cory "The Bear", lived a few floors up from Tyler Fighting and after a quick chat Tyler had gotten The Bear to commit to a practice session. He came and quickly had drums parts for the 4 songs, They were now a power trio.
You, Me, and Us mission is to make good, fast, loud rock and roll, while trying to remove the pop and ad some danger back to punk rock.
